Postpartum Depression
The postpartum period is sometimes also referred to as the Fourth Trimester.
The fourth trimester is the 12 weeks after giving birth—and is just as important for a
mother’s health as the first three trimesters. Yet this is often when mothers interact less with their healthcare team. The time when mothers need it the
most.
- Your physical recovery
- Weakened pelvic floor
- Breast pain, ranging from cracked nipples to mastitis
- The infamous exhaustion and lack of sleep
- Family responsibilities
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Baby blues
- Postpartum depression, which can affect anywhere from 10–15% of new moms,
most never receiving support or treatment
- Infant care and feeding preferences
Thoughts to consider:
- You are not the first person to experience these feelings
- Asking for help is the first step toward recovery
Postpartum Depression Support
Welcoming a new baby can bring immense joy, but it can also leave you feeling unrecognizable and overwhelmed. Postpartum depression is a real and common experience, yet many mothers suffer in silence. Whether your birth experience went as planned or had unexpected challenges—such as an emergency cesarean or time in the NICU—these feelings are valid, and you are not alone. Together, we’ll navigate the emotional rollercoaster of postpartum life, addressing feelings of exhaustion, isolation, or even loss of identity. I am here to help you rediscover your strength, validate your emotions, and create a safe space for you to heal and grow.
NICU Transition Guidance
Bringing your baby home after a stay in the NICU is a milestone worth celebrating, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. The safety net of your NICU care team suddenly disappears, and the transition to life at home can feel overwhelming and isolating. I provide support during this critical time, helping you adapt to the changes and build confidence as you care for your baby outside the hospital environment. Let’s work together to ease this transition and create a nurturing, structured plan for your family as you embrace this new chapter.
Life Transition Coaching
Adjusting to life with a new addition to the family can be both exciting and daunting. Whether you’re transitioning from a couple to new parents or expanding an already growing family, I am here to help you find balance and clarity. We’ll explore strategies to integrate this new dynamic into your pre-baby life while ensuring your personal needs and relationships remain a priority. Together, we’ll navigate this beautiful yet complex transition, helping you thrive in your evolving roles.
Feeding Support
Every family’s feeding journey is unique, and the “right” way to nourish your baby is the one that works best for you. Whether you’re breastfeeding, formula feeding, or a combination of both, I provide guidance and support to help you feel confident in your choice. For breastfeeding parents, I offer lactation support and medication reviews for safety. For formula-feeding parents, we can explore options to find the right formula and simplify the feeding process. From selecting bottles to troubleshooting challenges, I’ll help make your feeding routine as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Individual Coaching Sessions
Your journey is unique, and individual coaching sessions provide a personalized space to address your specific challenges and goals. We’ll identify your strengths, explore effective coping mechanisms, and develop a tailored plan to support your growth. Together, we’ll equip you with practical tools to overcome obstacles and build confidence in your parenting journey.
Group Coaching Sessions
Parenthood can feel isolating, especially with a newborn at home, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Group sessions provide a supportive environment to connect with other parents who share similar experiences. Together, we’ll discuss topics chosen by the group, share advice, and build a sense of community that uplifts and empowers. These sessions are a valuable way to gain new perspectives while forming meaningful connections with others on the same path.
